INTERIORS 72/12  is the first of a series of self-portraits which Otzko started in 2012. The title refers to the indoor space surrounding her as well as within herself, the numbers are house number and year. The series explores the complexity of a personal experience within the specific space shaped by continuous temporary arrivals in various countries and cities. (Positano, Florence, London, Berlin, Arkhangelsk) Otzko works on her own using a self-timer. Before she captures the images she explores the space, the natural light, shapes and lines. She knows exactly where to place herself to capture what she wants the viewer to see, however - the various poses are instinctively reactions from direct experiences of the environment’s extant energy and personal history. One series captures a live performance lasting about 30-60 minutes.  Her body shape shifts into an object creating a relationship between the two interiors - visible and invisible. The uncanny of the unknown creates feelings of tension and vulnerability as well as cravings for contemplating solitude tapping into one's wisdom, courage and strength of following one's path.
